Removing your gels in the correct way is extremely important to ensure your nails aren’t damaged in the process. Here are our recommended removal processes for our gel polish and Color Dip systems.

Gel Polish Removal

  1. Buff the top coat away to remove the shine from your Gel Polish Manicure
  2. Use our Removal Wraps, and soak in our Erase, apply to the nail and leave for 10-12 minutes. Top Tip: The longer you leave it, the easier it will soak away!
  3. When removing your Removal Wrap, gently wiggle side to side as you pull off the wrap, this will loosen any product.
  4. Gently buff away any remaining product, if the product cannot be gently buffed away then re-soak for another 2-3 minutes. We recommend doing one nail at a time so that the product does not set again as you buff the previous nail.
  5. Apply Purify to a lint free wipe and wipe nails to cleanse.
  6. If you’re not reapplying a gel polish, massage Revitalize onto the cuticles and the surrounding edges to re-energise the nails and skin.

Color Dip Removal

  1. Buff the top layer using the Groom 100/180 Buffer to break the seal of the top coat and remove shine.
  2. Place a Removal Wrap saturated with Erase onto each nail for 15-20 minutes, we recommend leaving your nails soak for longer if you’ve chosen a glitter shade for an easier removal.
  3. Remove the foil wrap by squeezing and pulling each side to loosen and remove the product
  4. Gently remove any remaining product with an Orange Wood Stick from the cuticle to the free edge – repeat soaking if necessary, to soften the product further
  5. Lightly buff the surface of the nail if needed to remove any product still left on the nail
  6. Apply Purify to a lint free wipe and wipe nails to cleanse
  7. If you’re not reapplying a new Color Dip shade, massage Revitalize onto the cuticles and the surrounding edges to re-energise the nails and skin.

Top Tips

  • Make sure to break the seal gently by using the RCM Buffer Block to lightly buff the colour off the nail first.
  • Make sure when soaking off, that the remover contains acetone, at least 98%, as it needs to be strong enough to dissolve the polish correctly.
  • Gently push off any remaining colour with the Orange Wood stick – if the colour has dried, repeat the Erase step again. DO NOT pull or buff it off as this will damage your nails.
  • Always remove properly, taking time to properly remove your manicure keeps your nails healthy and strong. Applying a daily cuticle oil also helps keep nails in good condition.
  • If you’re applying another colour straight away, follow with your prep routine, if not, follow with your chosen cuticle oil to rehydrate and nourish nails. We recommend the Hyper Hydrator.
  • Use Cute-icle’s Friend cuticle oil morning and night to keep your nails healthy
  • If your gel polish is starting to look dull, just do a quick wipe over with Purify and this will brighten them back up.
